From our on-site shop, you can order a wide selection of farm-to-table produce straight from our stock at Kempthorne! Delivery of our produce is available nationwide, throughout the mainland UK, or – if you’re nearby – you can also pick your goods up in person.

Ruby County Butchers combines a farm and butchery on a site located on the Devon-Cornwall border.

The farm
Kempthorne Farm has been in the care of a previous tenant for many years, and us – the Mawtus family – were grateful to take it on. Kempthorne Farm provides a great variety of grass-fed stock to customers throughout Devon, Cornwall and beyond. Our Ruby Red Devon cows are of extremely high quality, as are our Charollais Sheep.
Our farm is driven to be reliable, sustainable and cost accessible in all that we do. When our premium quality meat is ready, we can deliver everything from our home butchery! We care about providing ethical, environmental, quality farm food to customers far and wide.
The butchery
We process all of our meat through our butchery, where it is prepared for sale! All of our meat is available to purchase in our on-site shop, or can be bought online for in-person delivery throughout mainland UK.
